Sunshine Class Week 4

Dear Sunshine Class Parents,

We had a wonderful week exploring science!

In Literacy, we read and discussed 'Ada Twist, Scientist', 'Rosie Revere, Engineer' and 'Iggy Pegg, Architect'.

In Maths, we practiced using measurements to measure out vinegar and baking soda for an explosive, colourful experiment. We also counted popcorn kernels by 2s and 5s, and explored volume by comparing the space that the popped and un-popped kernels took up.

In Science, we did experiments to explore gas, smells, sound, oil and milk not mixing, built bridges and buildings, and made a hovercraft.

We made colourful cookies in cooking class, learned scratch coding in computer class, and enjoyed fun games every day!

I really enjoyed teaching your kids and I hope they had as much fun as I did!

In week 5 of summer school, we will explore camping!
For those you are not returning-see you again some time! Come back and visit us!

Have a great Obon vacation!

Thank you!
Ms. Stacy.
