Sunshine Week 3

Dear Sunshine class parents,

We had a great week this week in summer school! Our theme was "Under the Sea" and we enjoyed a lot of activities to learn about the ocean.

In literacy we read "Pete the Cat: Scuba Cat" and "Rainbow Fish and the Big Blue Whale", and read books to learn some facts about our favourite sea creatures.

In maths we made number boats and explored patterns on shells.

In science we dropped vinegar on baking powder to see the reaction and find hidden treasure.

In art we made scuba masks, rainbow fish, origami sharks, bubble oceans, newspaper sharks, and posters of our favourite sea creatures.

We also had fun playing games, using computers, having water fights at the park, playing musical instruments, dancing, and watching Moana!

It was a pleasure to teach these kids this week and I hope you keep in touch!

See some of you next week for "Science Week"!

Have a great summer,
Ms. Stacy.
