Pre-Kinder and Summer school

Oh there was a lot of fun to be had during week 1 of our summer school! We had students from both Pre-Kinder A and Pre-Kinder B come together to get to know each other and have fun. Our theme this week was nature, so we learned about different parts of nature, the first day we learned about different types of flowers and did an activity where we colored, cut and pasted a flower. On tuesday we also had some fun in the pool as it was so hot!

Towards the middle of the week as we were learning about bugs I hid a whole bunch of cut out bugs in the school, on many floors and the students had to go around trying to find all of the bugs. They had a blast being able to get out of the classroom and go to other parts of the school where they normally don't venture off to.

As we learned about animals we made animal cut outs with moving legs and tails!, the students had some difficulty with making them but we got it all done.

Towards the end of the week we made a dessert out of cookie, milk chocolate and white chocolate. We took the cookie, melted the white chocolate and made a house out of it. It turned out really cool.

Melting the white chocolate acted as a kind of glue to keep everything together. Once we out it together we put it in the fridge to cool and freeze.

Thats it for summer school week one! Stay tuned for updates!
